Artist Talk: Seen in the Trees with Tansy Lee Moir

Join us in the Studio Gallery at Arundells for a special Artist Talk and closing event with exhibiting artist Tansy Lee Moir.

For Tansy, old trees are "time made wood". Their twisted trunks, weathered bark and outstretched branches bear witness to centuries of growth, change and survival. Through her work, she explores not only their physical forms but the stories they hold, inviting us to consider what looking closely at trees can reveal about their lives and our own.

In this talk, Tansy will discuss the places, processes, ideas and influences behind Seen in the Trees. Discover how she finds the ancient and veteran trees that fascinate her, how observational drawing helps her understand their forms, and how the distinctive qualities of charcoal shape her work.

Drawing on images from sketchbooks, fieldwork and the studio, Tansy will share the journey behind the works on display at Arundells, offering insight into her creative process and the themes that inform her work.

Tickets include entry to the house and garden throughout the day.
